Dunmow Rhodes booked their place in the final of the Braintree & North Essex Sunday League’s Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy with a 3-2 win at Great Bradfords Reserves.

They made a strong start, creating early chances, and took the lead midway through the first half when Kennie Irving converted from the spot.

Emilio Caceres-Sola made it 2-0 with a superb solo effort, but Bradfords hit back with a penalty from Jack Morter before half time.

Callum Denson kept the Rhodes defence busy, but Irving eased the pressure when firing home a pass from Jake Sutton to make it 3-1.

Leon Griffin crossed from the left for Mike Kayloy to beat Luke Johnson and set up a tense finale, but Rhodes held on to reach the final for a second year running.

Irving took the man of the match award for Rhodes, who pllay Tiptree Elite in the Division One Cup final at Halstead Town on Sunday (2.30pm).
