Saffron Crocus Reserves' three match unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday at home to Great Shelford in the BIS County League Division 4A.

The visitors started brightly and put the hosts under pressure before taking an early lead, with a well-worked goal.

It took at least 25 minutes before a reshuffled Crocus side could get a grip against a well-organised Shelford team that were promoted last season.

The second half saw Crocus battle well, but they couldn't supply the finishing touch after some good build-up play.

Saffron Crocus Reserves visit Barton this Saturday, 2pm kick-off.
