STANSTED boss Alan Penfold has moved quickly to replace goalkeeper Steve Wright, with the re-signing of Wes Jackman.Wright left the Hargrave Park club just before Christmas to join Southern League Eastern Division side Enfield, forcing Penfold to field 18-year-old Chris Davis in their Uttlesford Charity Cup final victory against Haverhill Rovers.Jackman, 23, last played for the Airportmen during the 2001/02 season, and joins them from Southern League side Waltham Forest. However, Stansted have been hit by two blows, with strikers Leon Antoine and Michael Begg both leaving the Essex Senior League strugglers. For the second successive season, Antoine has departed to link up with Ryman League Premier Division side Redbridge, while Begg has joined Essex Senior League rivals Barkingside - and scored on his debut.Jackman was unable to make his second debut for the Airportmen on Saturday because their game at fellow strugglers Hullbridge Sports was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.Stansted are without a game again on Saturday, although Penfold is expected to field a strong team for the home reserve fixture against Concord Rangers. They return to action with their first game for four weeks, on Tuesday, when Hoddesdon Town are the visitors in the East Anglian Cup.
