FLITCH United lost out 2-0 to league leaders Laindon Orient after a fiercely fought match on Saturday.
The home team started the better and denied Laindon any space on the pitch. But Flitch could not maintain this extreme work rate and slowly Laindon took a grip on the game.
Although the score was goalless at the break, Laindon made the breakthrough midway into the second half when a moment of lost concentration in the Flitch defence allowed a shot from the edge of the area to creep in. The visitors sealed the win with a well taken goal in the dying seconds e.
Flitch are back in action at home on Saturday with a double header against Manford Way from Hainault. 1.45pm kick off.
