Flitch United got their Braintree & North Essex Sunday League Premier Division season off to a good start with a 2-0 win against Shalford FC.

The sun was shining as Flitch took the field in new kit, sponsored by RG Taylor Engineering and printed by Out There Sports.

And the game was very even for most of the first half, with not much between the two sides.

The second half was a different story with Flitch controlling a lot of the ball and the chance of the game come with ex-Shalford player Aaron Collier receiving a through ball from a great pass from Josh Jewson.

Collier then went on taking it around two defenders and the goalkeeper before tapping home.
