Dunmow seconds earned a hard-fought point against the league leaders from a match played in horrendous conditions.
The home side survived an early onslaught before creating chances on the counter attack for Farr and Taylor.
However, the Dunmow defence succumbed to a goal mouth scramble just before half-time.
The hosts equalised mid-way through the second half when an Owers short corner found Menhenick whose shot deflected past the keeper.
Although the wind and rain saw chances at a premium, the Dunmow midfield of Buntain and Chatt worked hard to see off any danger.
Meanwhile Dunmow first team secured a 4-2 victory over Southend seconds.
