Takeley finished 11th in the Essex Senior League Premier Division after wrapping up the season with a 4-1 victory over Clapton.
The game on Thursday saw Clapton field a weakened team ahead of the weekend’s Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy final, which they lost 4-2 to Barking, and Takeley took full advantage.
Duncan Easley’s men led 2-1 at half-time and added two more in the second half to secure the three points.
They ended 11th in the table with 54 points from 16 wins, six draws and 16 defeats.
