The girls beat Dr Calloners, Hayes, Godolphin and Latymer and Warden Park schools before securing their victory against Godolphin and Latymer again in a tense final game.

The team will now return to Lord’s Cricket Ground for the second year in a row to play at the finals, where they hope to improve on last year’s third place.

Felsted coach and Super League player, Carla Rudd, said: “Every girl contributed throughout the day; the team spirit and skill level was top quality and their win was well deserved.”

Ten Felsted girls are currently on the Essex Players Programme, with opportunities to play in county matches. This includes Alex Went, who was recently selected for the Essex Women’s 1st XI squad.
