The Felsted hockey glory continued last week as the U13 girls’ team stormed through to their second set of national finals this year.
The team produced an excellent day of hockey to finish second in the regional round last Wednesday.
Having already finished third in the country in the IAPS national tournament, they will have their sights set on doing even better this time around. The national finals will be held on May 9, with the venue to be confirmed.
Particular highlights of the day included a 5-0 win against Spalding High as the team topped their group; and then a 4-0 win against New Hall in the semi-finals as the girls secured their place in the national finals in style. They won five of their seven matches on the day, which is a wonderful achievement.
Coach Libby Knifton said: “We secured some brilliant results against some very tough schools. Well done to every single one of the squad who stepped up on the day to grind out those wins.”
