Felsted School's under 15 cricket team became the south region 20/20 champions last week, beating Whitgift School in the semi-final and Hampton School in the final.

They will now play the winner of the Midlands group in the national semi-finals at Headingly, on Sunday September 9.

Ollie Ekers and Alex Marjoribanks, both aged 15, from Mountnessing and Great Dunmow respectively, were the stars of the day with Ekers scoring 61 not out and Marjoribanks taking 2-13 runs in the final match.

Coach Nick Phillips said: "The team played superbly on the day. The boys were fantastic and I hope we can match the intensity and quality when we come to play at Headingly.
