Elsenham Youth FC were delighted to learn over the summer that the club has been awarded Charter Standard status by the Football Association.

To achieve the award, the club was able to demonstrate to the FA that it has set high standards in terms of discipline, organisation and best practice.

The club was also successful over the summer in obtaining a grant from the Football Foundation under the goalpost replacement scheme. With additional support from Elsenham Parish Council and the help of many volunteers, new goalposts were recently installed at Elsenham Recreation Ground to replace the outdated goals that had stood on the field for many years.

Elsenham Youth have also announced a number of kit sponsorships for the new season. Nova Integrated Security Systems have kindly donated a kit for the under eights team, while Fairweather Windows are the new sponsor of the under 10s.

Weston Homes have provided home and away shirts for the under 11s, while the under 12s and under 17s are both playing in new kits this season with the support of Orchard Works Garage and Copyzone, respectively.

Club chairman, Grant Alabaster, said: "With the award of our Charter Standard, new goalposts and many new sponsorships, it's been a very busy and successful summer for the club.

Gaining Charter Standard status marks a significant step forward in our development.

Our sincere thanks go to all our new sponsors for their generosity and support.''
