DUNMOW Rhodes moved into the semi-final of the Essex Junior Trophy after a 5-3 win over Great Baddow Reserves on Saturday.
The hosts conceded an early goal but levelled quickly with Jamie Sanders scoring a fantastic goal from a long range free kick.
The second half provided more goals and the game’s decisive moment came when Quantrill was brought down in the box. The Baddow defender saw red and Simon Preece slotted home the penalty.
Nick Lines gave Dunmow a two-goal cushion in bizarre fashion, scoring from a corner before top scorer Nick Quantrill added to his tally with two powerful strikes to seal the victory.
Dunmow will face Northweld in the semi-final at home on March 2.
