The cup has finally arrived.
This is the first photo of the Dunmow Rhodes Lions U16s team with the Blackwater & Dengie Division Two League Cup which they won by beating Rayne Youth 3-1 in the final last month.
On the day the team got carried away and damaged the cup, which has now been restored, and the team posed with it on Sunday.
At the weekend they fell to a 3-2 league defeat to Stones Athletic.
Rhodes went ahead in the second minute through skipper Christian Roles.
Athletic soon pulled level, however Roles restored the lead from the penalty spot after man of the match Zak Jagathesan was fouled.
Stones equalised again through a header to make it 2-2 at half-time.
Athletic got the winner in the second half after a goalmouth scramble.
