Dunmow Atlantis Swimming Club faced more stiff competition during the second round of the National Junior League Division Two campaign.
The youngsters, aged nine to 12, were up against clubs from across the area including Broomfield Park, Greenwich Royals, Barking & Dagenham and Luton.
And the level of competition was outstanding, with the Dunmow members putting up a determined fight across all 50 events on the schedule.
Cheered on throughout by the enthusiastic Dunmow contingent, the squad were once again victorious in the nail-biting final cannon relay, taking the touch just ahead of Greenwich.
Dunmow were just pipped to third place on the night and currently lay seventh overall in the division, with the final round taking place later this month.
