Ashwin Shah was the first of the Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners (GFDR) home in 11th at the 21st St Clare Hospice 10km race at Hastingwood, near Harlow, on Sunday.

The winner was Ian Clark in 35 minutes 15seconds.

Shah clocked 39mins 33secs, followed by Paul McKenna in 41mins 43secs, Jason Wintin with 42mins 4secs and Ian Lawson in 42mins 55secs.

Claudine Davie led home GFDR’s women in a personal best 45mins 6secs and was followed by Jo Bisset-Smith in 46mins 7secs.

Colin Jackson finished in 47mins 15secs, with John Smith in 47mins 45secs ahead of his wife Hayley in 49mins 1sec and Gillian Robertson 49mins 35secs. John Hardy clocked 51mins 25secs and was followed by Diane Hill in 59mins 52secs and Janet Price with 64mins 5secs.
