DOUBLE disappointment for south section top dogs Little Waltham.

DOUBLE disappointment for south section top dogs Little Waltham as they tumbled to defeat against their Northern counterparts in last week’s Ridley League play-offs.

Their dominoes showdown against the Chequers was a close thing, all three games ended best-of-three, the Felsted side just getting their noses over the line to repeat the successes of 2007 and 2008. The darts play-off, however, was unexpectedly all over after the singles.

The Retreat’s Skipper Peter Webb and Andy Camp have had a tough time holding together the patched-up side this season, but two of the support acts came good to help them regain the title they last won in 2008.

Chris Camp (2-0 against John Warn) and Peter Elliott (2-1 against Matt Salmon) gave the Bocking side an early lift – then combined to take a ‘dead’ first pairs after Webb and Andy Camp had added the points that put the result beyond doubt.
