The MCC came into bat and started off well, getting to 50 at tea with no loss. Jake Foley (aged 16) then came on and took five wickets for 25 runs, supported by the other four bowlers taking one wicket each. This led to a draw, with the MCC finishing on 205-9.

Cricket at Felsted is overseen by ex-England and county player Jason Gallian, who said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the Felsted cricketers and they showed real determination throughout the match. We have some great young talent at Felsted and holding the MCC to a draw is no mean feat. This is a match the boys will remember forever.”
