Felsted U16 girls’ hockey team have made a great start to the season, winning the Essex Championship after a five-match winning streak.
The team played at Redbridge on October 6, beating Chigwell (2-1), Forest (4-0), Brentwood (3-0), and King-John (5-0) in the group stage, New Hall (1-0) in the semis, and finally drawing with Cooper (1-1) to secure their victory.
Director of girls’ hockey, Ms Loren Sherer, said: “The girls came together as a squad fantastically well in preparation for the tournament and produced some excellent hockey on the day.
“It is exciting that there are still areas this team can improve upon, and we will work hard to do so before the regional round of the competition, on November 17.”
