Felsted School hockey players had a busy weekend at the East Region County Finals, with a number of pupils representing Essex and Herts age groups teams.
The U14 girls’ team, including Felsted’s Amber Aitken, 13, from Flitch Green, and Lucy Bailes, 14, from Hockley, won their competition in Bedford.
The U14 Essex boys’ team also impressed to come second.
They were represented by no less than four Felsted boys, including Jonny Hoile, 14, from Tillingham, Harrison Stanford, 13, from Brentford, Xavier Cook, 13, from Pleshey, and Ollie Stonham, 14, from Dunmow.
Rhiannon May, 14, from Braughing and Ruby Smith, 13, from Albury End, played for Hertfordshire U14s and finished in second place.
Also, finishing runners-up were the U13 boys’ and U15 girls’ teams, with strong performances from Felsted’s Rory Aitken, 12, from Flitch Green, Henry Dean, 13, from Felsted, Alex Went, 15, from Wheely Heath and Dolores Eagle, 14, from Ongar.
The U13 girls’ team finished third. Affrica Hamilton, 12, from Felsted, playing a key role.
