Oliver Bond, 12, passed his Shodan grading (1st Dan black belt) at the June grading.
Oliver has been training very hard recently, including extra lessons in the adult class, which has helped him reach the required standard.
Oliver attends Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow and has been with the club for five years.
