Dunmow started brightly creating a number of good chances, and finally broke the deadlock after 23 minutes when Brandrum found the back of the net.
Woodam wasted a number of good chances in the second half, and they were made to pay for this when a late solo strike from Allen secured the victory for Dunmow Athletic.
Dunmow are away at Ravens Reserves at Melborne in Chelmsford on Saturday.
