TAKELEY have announced their second signing in as many weeks, this time bolstering the Station Road dugout.

Manager Don Watters has appointed ex-Sawbridgeworth Town player and ex-Great Parndon manager John Reid as his assistant.

Reid played for Watters at Town between 1982 and 1984 before a knee injury ended his career on the pitch. He then took up management with Great Parndon.

Watters said that is very keen to have his man on board, as β€œhe will bring fresh ideas into club.”

Reid replaces Lol Williams who stepped down because he could not give enough time to the position and wanted to concentrate on his true love – singing.
