A YOUNGSTER from Felsted Primary School put in a strong performance whilst representing the district at the Essex SSP Cross Country Competition last week.
On a bitterly cold afternoon at Southend, and after a very long wait, Year 6 pupil Alexander Scott-Bell got off to a flying start and raced competitively throughout the four-mile course at the town’s rugby club.
He finished 23rd out of 135 runners which was a fantastic result and as he is a member of Braintree Athletics club he is hoping to gain more cross country experience over the next few years.
