Focus Ferrers Lions 1 Dunmow United Vipers 5
DUNMOW produced a high quality performance last week for a convincing win over Focus Ferrers Lions.
Archie Pritchard opened the scoring with a volley and Harry Thrower claimed two more before half time, one of which was an outstanding long range effort.
Focus did score before half time but Dunmow controlled the game, with strong defensive work from Joseph Geldard, Alfie King, Callum Delahey and Finn Lavery. Tom Ryman-Calver was solid in goal while up field Cameron Gibson, Ethan Aylesbury and James Chalklen all made big contributions.
Sam May added the two second half goals.
U14
Flitch Youth 5 Maldon & Tiptree Panthers 0
A STRONG second half performance saw Flitch comfortably beat the Panthers. Whilst the hosts enjoyed more of the possession in the first half, neither side seriously threatened and it was goalless at the break.
But Flitch were soon ahead when Irving chipped the keeper from the edge of the box. An Abbott long range blast doubled the lead and Bull finished a mazy run with a third goal. Irving turned in Bull’s cross at the far post to make it 4-0, before Abbott wrapped up the points from close range.
Hatfield Peverel Gallows 7 Dunmow Rhodes Lions 1
RHODES came up against a strong side in Division 2 league contenders Hatfield Peverel Gallows.
They lost keeper Joey Reed to an injury and were 6-0 down before Christian Roles headed in Adam Griggs’ corner.
