Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners were out in force as the first Great Dunmow parkrun was held around the Recreation Ground last Saturday.
The 5k event attracted 261 participants, including nine from the GFDR club.
And Josh Sowman led the way to the finish line in a time of 18 minutes 15 seconds, with Innes Fullerton second in 19.05.
Craig Mitchell (21.00) was third, while GFDR’s Ian Lawson was 15th in 22.46.
Colin Jackson (23.18), David Kelsey (24.07), Lee Prowse (24.23) and Robert Burgess (29.40) also took part, while Julia Fermor (32.52) was the fastest GFDR woman, ahead of Glenda Jackson (32.54) and Henrietta Butcher (36.17).
