A woman was taken to hospital last night (June 13) having suffered burns after fire engulfed a mobile home in Great Saling.

Two fire crews, from Wethersfield and Braintree, responded to a call at 6.48pm in Piccotts Lane and on arrival, found the mobile home was completely alight.

The fire was extinguished by 7.42pm and paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service treated a woman in her 50s for burns to her face and hands.

She was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further treatment, but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
