Winners of Essex County Council's gritter competition announced

TWO pupils from Ford End Primary School have this week received prizes as part of Essex County Council s Name the Gritter competition.

TWO pupils from Ford End Primary School have this week received prizes as part of Essex County Council's 'Name the Gritter' competition.

The gritter was named Mr Ice by winner Ciana Peachy. Milosz Malek was the runner up. It was taken to the school this week by Balfour Beatty's Conrad Hopkins, supervisor and driver.

Conrad, who was one of the judges of the competition together with his team of gritter drivers, explained how the gritter works and answered many questions from the students.
