Dunmow residents have been encouraged to find out how they have helped shape health and care services for the future.
As part of the engagement programme My health, My future, My say Part II, NHS West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a feedback event on Thursday, February 12 between 7-9pm at The Maltings on Mill Lane.
The CCG’s five-year plan for the future of west Essex health and care services will form the foundation for discussions on the night and local people have been invited to feedback on proposals for new and existing health and care services in the area.
Clare Morris, chief officer of West Essex CCG said: “Each locality within west Essex presents different areas of focus for us as an organisation and therefore the most effective way we can ensure that we are concentrating resources in the right way is to listen: by listening to local people and giving them the opportunity to feedback on our plans, local services will be entirely patient-focused and determined by local needs.
“Last year you told us that access to health and care services was an issue for some communities in Uttlesford, particularly those in more rural areas.
“As a result, we’re currently reviewing transport links to allow better access, as well as developing outreach services which will mean care is directly available within communities.”
She added: “Our aim is simple, to assess where needs aren’t being met, identify the reasons why, and work to ensure that improvements are made to local services in order that they support the people they serve.”
