ORGANISERS of Great and Little Hallingbury Flower Show have heaved a huge sigh of relief this week, as Thames Water announced that a vital route would be open ready for the big day.
The road that leads to Harps Farm, Great Hallingbury, has recently been closed so that a new sewerage pipe system can be installed.
Work however has been temporarily suspended to help farmers at harvest time, and luckily access to the flower show will now be open.
Flower Show Chairman Geoff Pets said: "This is really good news, it is our 70th annual show and it is being covered by internet TV channels. With the roads clear I shall be disappointed if we don't get a bumper crowd."
The show takes place on Saturday July 19 from 2.15pm and is followed by the Flower Show Ball at 7.30pm, tickets are £18.
