Felsted School’s Chapel welcomed animals in two by two for a service giving thanks for pets.
Parents and pupils at the Preparatory School arrived with their animals, including dogs, rabbits, gerbils, chickens and even ponies.
During the service, a collection was taken for the RSPCA, the UK’s leading animal welfare charity.
Head of the prep school, Jenny Burrett said: “Through caring for their animals, Felstedians learn to think of and care for others, show warmth and love, take responsibility, be patient and compassionate, keep active and understand the importance of always having a loyal friend to turn to.”
“I would like to thank the Vicar of Dibley for her divine inspiration once more and for giving us another very special service to remember.”
