Talented young writers went on a trip to Great Dunmow’s library after becoming finalists in a school competition.
Flitch Green Academy asked pupils to write a short story, with a Christmas theme in mind, at the end of last term.
All the finalists, along with the two winners Kiki Flower, six, and Kiera Dore, 10, were treated to a trip to the library on Monday.
Teacher Sally Evans said: “I was amazed by the standard of their work. I e-mailed all the parents about how well all the pupils did. It was a really great competition and it was so hard to judge.”
Don’s of Dunmow, kindly put on a free coach to take the children to their destination and back again to the school.
