AROUND 170 enjoyed a variety of entertainment at a charity fundraiser at Takeley Village Hall.
The charity concert included music from local band, A Blond and Two Guitars, followed by the main attraction, Scott Fitzgerald, who represented Great Britain in the Eurovision Song contest in 1988, and got second place to Celine Dion.
The evening also included a raffle, heads and tails event that raised 200, a 70's disco and karaoke.
Co-organiser, Peter Elwood, said: "It was a fantastic evening and we are really moved by the fact we had so much support.
"We must say a special thanks to Takeley Sports and Social Club, who donated 400 from the bar takings."
The evening raised in excess of 2,500, which will go towards the Together in West Essex Breast Cancer Appeal.
The appeal supports the breast units at Epping and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, and the money can be used for research or equipment.
