A medley of Star Wars and James Bond theme tunes accompanied the grand fireworks display on Great Dunmow recreation ground on Saturday. The show attracted more than 6,000 people and organisers Dunmow Round Table say they expect to have raised more than £7,000 for charities and good causes.
The fun included a barbecue and bonfire.
Dunmow Round Table spokesman Jon Shepherd said: “It went very well. People said how good the display was.
“We sold the tickets online for the second time this year and that seemed to attract a large number of people. Last year we gave away about £108,000 raised by our events and we hope to do the same again.”
