At Felsted School a third of pupils gained A* or A grades. In Latin, further maths and theatre studies, 100 per cent achieved A-B grades.

Out of 87 in the upper sixth, 79 per cent achieved A* to C grades and 100 per cent passed.

The top achiever, Oliver Williams from High Roding, gained three A* grades in maths, further maths and economics and an A in Latin. He has a place to read maths and philosophy at Durham.

Headmaster Dr Mike Walker said: “I am delighted at these results.”
