Police are appealing for information following a burglary at Braintree Rugby Club.

The break-in happened when thieves forced their way into the building on Beckers Green Road between 8pm on Sunday January 9 and 9am the following morning. Members arrived to find several bottles of spirit and cash had been stolen.

The thieves used a ladder to climb inside the premises.

Anyone with information in connection with this burglary is urged to contact investigating officers at Braintree police station on 101.
