ELVIS entered the building, at Foakes Hall that is, as the Dunmow Round Table presented a tribute night with the Memphis rocker on Saturday evening.
The audience packed the hall at the sell-out concert as one of the country's leading Elvis impersonators Marshall King wowed the crowd with all of The King's dazzling hits accompanied by live music from the Beale Street Band.
Marshall was winner of ITV's This Morning show's best Elvis in 2007, but despite his heavy workload managed to stop by in Dunmow and entertain a thrilled crowd.
Round Table Chairman Shaun Pledger said: "We raised a total of £1000 for our chosen charity, the Romanian Orphan Fund and it was great to see the Foakes hall completely packed for such a great night.
Elvis will be performing in the area again later this year when Little Easton Manor host 'The Presley Picnic' inside the grounds on August 9.
The world's best Elvis Lee 'Memphis' King will be entertaining. Tickets are £24.50 in advance or £30 on the night, available by calling 01279 815464.
