Canines and their owners exercised their right to protest at a Paws Off Thaxted dog walk last weekend.
On the walk, campaign group Hands off Thaxted (HOT) visited the controversial site put forward for development for 70 houses on Sampford Road.
“The medieval town of Thaxted is under siege,” said a spokesman for the group.
“A series of assaults have come from Croudace, Gladman, and now Knight Developments are making their second attack. Thaxted is facing an expansion of nearly 400 houses over three years, this represents 33 per cent of the size of the town and exceeds the town’s fair share for the next 25 years. Needless to say residents and dogs are barking mad.”
