Three friends are giving their all to help Cancer Research in its goal “to find a cure” for the disease.
Flitch Green youngsters James Chalklen, Alfie Sadler and Joshua Boreham, all 10, are busy organising a sponsored 30-mile bike ride along the Flitch Way.
They came up with the fundraising initiative on their own, designed posters and set up their own Just Giving page.
James’ mum, Nicola, said: “They have acted very professionally and have taken it very seriously with scheduled training programmes to get them ready for the big event.
“Their dads are all helping them and getting fit at the same time – I think the dads are finding it harder!

The bike ride is set for February 22. And the young trio have been keen to put in the hours over the last three weeks, preparing for the big ride by going out on lots of training sessions in all kinds of weather.
They have achieved 13.5 miles so far in one session and have completed an average of 36 miles across each week.
The Flitch Green Academy pupils have also put together a presentation which they will present during a school assembly on Tuesday.
“We are very proud of them and the dedication they are putting in, and the fact that they have achieved this off their own back is fantastic, especially at their age,” added Nicola.
