A DRAMA teacher is launching her own book this weekend and is inviting everyone along to take a look at her new creation.
Jacky Rom teaches the subject at the Dunmow Art Centre on Haslers Lane. But, as a side project, she has been writing a brand new series of children's books about the Amazing Adventures of Starr.
She said: "Starr Fox is 11-years-old and, along with her headstrong 'backstage' mother, she enters the fascinating world of entertainment. From the audition, to the red carpet, this is set to be the most exciting adventure of her life.
"When things don't go quite to plan, Starr is swept along on a mysterious journey, full of intrigue and suspense. Join her as she becomes our very own, youngest ever, secret super sleuth."
The launch of book one in the series, The Missing Extra, takes place on Sunday April 26 from noon until 2pm at the arts centre.
