A man has been charged following an assault in Braintree which left the victim with a broken jaw.
A 22-year-old man from The Street, Takeley, has been charged with GBH with intent following the incident outside The Lounge in Market Place, Braintree at 11.45pm on September 5.
The victim, who was unconscious when paramedics first arrived on scene, remains in hospital.
The charged man will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on September 30. Detectives are not yet releasing his name.
