FISH and chip suppers and frolics in the sun, sea and sand await a group of residents from a nursing home in Great Dunmow thanks to a ‘Great British Seaside Week’.
Many of the residents from Croft House on Braintree Road will be taking part in a day trip to Clacton-on-Sea on July 14 whilst many other Bupa homes will be allowing the seaside to come to them.
National activities executive Lucy Albone said: “A trip to the seaside will bring back many happy memories for our residents, as well as making sure there’s a real holiday atmosphere for everyone involved.”
Elsewhere, many homes will be bringing the thrill of the seaside to the residents, with Punch and Judy shows and, fish and chip suppers and a number of beach-themed events.
