HUNDREDS of children had a fantastic afternoon in a bouncy castle kingdom set up at Great Easton Primary School for their belated summer fair.
The event had originally scheduled for June 30, but had to be put off due to bad weather, so the school's summer fair became an autumn event.
Damian Pye, headteacher, said the occasion had been a storming success.
"It was a really warm Saturday," he said. "Hundreds of families came along.
"We had around seven bouncy castles set up, in all sorts of sizes, so children of all ages could join in. We also had miniature quad-bikes and the usual selection of stalls, raffles and tombolas.
"It was a very successful event, raising more than £2600 for school funds, which we will decide how to spend in the near future.
"All the children really enjoyed it; there were far more than the 150 we teach here. We had both former pupils and pre-school children who are yet to start, so we had both past pupils and pupils of the future."
The school's next event will be its Christmas Bazaar on November 30.
