The opening of Stebbing Tennis Club’s third court took place in Sunday sunshine.
The ribbon was cut by Liz Davies, the wife of club chairman, Steve. The day on May 10 was part of a family open day with games and teas at the
club which welcomed non-members, including families with young children keen to start playing.
Club coach Jude Walthew, who organised matches and team games, said: “It was wonderful to see so many people of all ages enjoying themselves. I started playing tennis at 10 and totally love the game. I take huge pride in seeing our juniors improve and develop their tennis skills.”
The off court activities included mini tennis, table tennis, badminton and table football.
