PUPILS had stars in their eyes at Felsted Primary School last week as five days of dedicated lessons educated them in all things space and science.

From Monday children had the chance to observe and take part in exciting experiments during assemblies - provided by the aptly named company Mad Science.

On the Wednesday a huge space planetarium dome was installed at the school, on Watch House Green, so that pupil's could wander in for 45 minutes and observe stars and planets as they hovered above their heads.

Friday took a wilder approach as snakes became the main attraction, with pupils allowed to touch the skin.

School spokesman, Jane Turney, said: "It was a fantastic week and the whole school was involved. Everyone single one of the children enjoyed themselves and also learnt a lot about science, nature and space.
