MEDICS (Mid Essex Doctors Immediate Care Scheme) holds its seventh annual sponsored cycle ride at the end of this month.
The event raises funds towards its general running costs of nearly £40,000 per annum.
MEDICS doctors work in partnership with Essex Ambulance Service, but rely totally on charitable donations and fund-raising events.
The cycle ride, which has three routes covering 50 and 15 miles, will start and finish at The Plough public house car park, High Street, Great Chesterford, at 10am on Sunday, September 30 and will cater for fun riders and serious cyclists.

Entry costs £7 for adults and £3 for children.
