A six-figure sum of cash was stolen from a premises in Little Canfield, near Dunmow, overnight on December 9.
Thieves broke in through a side door before sawing off iron bars to enter the internal workshop.
The money was stolen from a safe that was jimmied open at the scene.
Any information regarding this crime can be reported to police on 101.
