FOUR schools from the Dunmow area all received cheques for £200 from Dunmow Round Table last Wednesday.
The money was the proceeds from the duck race that Tablers held earlier this summer and cheques were handed over by Tabler Tom Notley who was the brains behind the scheme.
The beneficiaries were Great Dunmow Primary, St Mary's Primary, Little Easton Primary and Stebbing Primary schools.
On the Sunday before, Great Dunmow Round Table complete the final leg of their marathon bike challenge for 2007 by completing a cycle ride from Norwich to Dunmow on the front section of the world-record breaking bike they built.
Forty riders set off from Norwich town centre at 8.30am Saturday and arrived back in Dunmow High Street at 4.45pm on the Sunday. Early indications suggest they have raised £45,000.00.
