TWO schoolmates are taking on the challenge of a life time to help underprivileged children.
Chelmsford’s King Edward VI School students James Donovan and Simon Schofield, both 18, will be cycling from London to Paris in July to raise money for HOPE for Children – a charity that helps orphaned, poor and exploited children worldwide.
To take part in the 210 mile bike ride James and Simon must both raise 750. So far, thanks to generous donations from Intercounty, Dunmow Round Table and Paddocks Garage, James has raised over 300.
To help reach his target, James has organised a quiz in the Saracen’s Head on Thursday May 5 at 8.30pm. As a prize Luckins Wine Store has donated a bottle of champagne.
