Families are teaming up with their children to take part in a school’s weekly competition.
The Friday Challenge has been organised by Forest Hall School, in Stansted. , take part in a Friday Challenge in their tutor groups each week to encourage students to work together, have fun and develop co-operation skills.
Each week a new challenge is to be emailed to parents and carers, it might be a urrent affairs quiz, problem-solving or questions linked to an aspect of school life. The first challenge asked families to identify close-up photographs of items found around the house.
Parent Emily Hill said: “It was a way to get the children off the computer, have a bit of fun and use their brains to do a treasure hunt around the house to find the things in the pictures.”
Claire Gannon, head of Harrier house, said: “To continue the competitive element and give some light relief in these challenging times, we are continuing with our school competition in the form of the Friday Family Challenge.”
