A bottle of Jamesons’ whiskey was stolen along with £800 in cash from a building in Cambridge Road, Stansted between 11pm on Friday, March 17 and 11am the following morning.

An unknown suspect gained access to the address via a door at the rear of the building by unknown means leaving slight tool marks on the door. a cash box was removed from the cellar containing £700 as was a charity box containing approximately £100 and a bottle of Jamesons’ whiskey.

Wing mirrors were removed from a white Nissan Juke parked in Saffron Way, Takeley, possibly by means of punching, between midnight on Tuesday, March 14 and 6.20pm on Sunday, March 19. Blood was left behind.

Unknown suspects jemmyed the bonnet of digger using a crowbar, removed the vehicle’s battery and attempted to syphon diesel after gaining access to a fenced off building site in South View, The Samfords between 5pm on Friday, March 17 and 9.30am on Tuesday, March 21.

They also cut through a cable which attaches and holds the arm of the digger in place and then got onto the roof using a ladder and tried to peal up the corner of the roofing to remove the zinc on all corners of the building and took some of the sides of the roofing.

A chainsaw was stolen from the open back of a blue Nissan Cab Star in Radwinter Road, Saffron Walden between 11am and 9pm on Wednesday, March 22.

Crops and hedges were damaged by two unknown four-by-four vehicles during illegal hare coursing on the victim’s farm in Thaxted Road, Saffron Walden between 3pm and 5.15pm on Wednesday, March 22.

Machinery worth £300 was taken from a shed in Hogs Lane, Wendons Lofts, between 4pm on Sunday, march 19 and 4pm om Monday, March 20.

Stock worth thousands of pounds was taken from a retail premises in Hill Street, Saffron Walden, after suspects forced entry using a crowbar between 4.30am and 7.50am on Tuesday, March 21.

Sports equipment was stolen from a cricket pavilion during the burglary of a school in Cambridge Road, Newport, between 1pm on Saturday, March 18 and 10.15am on Monday, March 20.

The glass in french doors was smashed and an effort to jemmy the back door took place in a failed burglary attempt at a property in Debden Road, Saffron Walden, between 3.10pm and 5.10pm on Monday, March 20.

The suspects knocked on the front door before going round to the back of the property after no one answered. No entry was gained and no property was removed.

A building was ransacked in Chalk Farm Lane, Newport, when the building was broken into between 4pm on Sunday, March 19 and 7.55am on Monday, March 20. Eight windows were smashed and eight fire extinguishers were let off after suspects broke in by ripping the tin from the side of the workshop door.

Numerous balloons and silver gas canisters were left behind.

A grey Landrover Defender was stolen during the burglary of a property in Summerhill Road, Saffron Walden, between 11.30am and 4.25pm on Wednesday, March 22.

Suspects gained entry to the garden via the rear gate and then forced the rear patio doors of the property, before conducting a search of the property and taking the keys to the vehicle.

A blue Volkswagen Gold was damaged by having the word scrap scratched into the roof while it was parked in Radwinter Road, Saffron Walden, between midnight and 10.15am on Wednesday, March 22.

A blue New Holland T7235PC was stolen by means unknown from Old Street Hil, Broad Oak and the Hallingburys, between 5pm on Wednesday, March 22 and 8.30am on Thursday, March 23. Nothing was left at the scene.

Fence posts were removed and fencing damaged after suspects gained entry to a field in Cock Green Road, Felsted, and rode their motorbikes on the land causing damage to crops.
